|NEW ISRAELI STARTUP MAKES EVERY AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM SMARTER|
Aruba, May 30, 2014 - Sensibo, a new Tel Aviv based technology startup company, is set to revolutionize the way we interact with air conditioners.
The company is marketing a small device that lets an air conditioning unit be controlled by a highly advanced smartphone app. It can also respond to the activity in the household such as knowing who is in which room in the house, and switch on and off accordingly using the new ZigBee technology
Founder and CEO Omer Inbar came up with the idea in 2005. Tired of coming back to his hot apartment in Tel Aviv, he created a prototype device that would turn on his air conditioning by sending an email before he left work. With the advent of the iPhone and the popularity of smartphones in general, he realized the potential of his idea, especially in saving energy when the unit was working needlessly on an empty room.
