PANASONIC BUSINESS EUROPE SHOWCASED LATEST VIRTUAL STUDIO TECHNOLOGY USING REALITY
Aruba, October 25, 2019 – In September 2019, Panasonic Business Europe and Zero Density announced a cost effective virtual studio production solution for the TV channels, bundling industry’s most photorealistic virtual studio and augmented reality product Reality with all-in-one Panasonic 4K PTZ camera AW-UE150. Reality and AW-UE150 were first installed in the green box studio of a regional TV station in Belgium, Notele. The channel premiered its brand-new technology with Belgian elections coverage.
Following the successful adaptation of AW-UE150 to Reality, at IBC 2019 Panasonic Europe’s Broadcast & ProAV division set up a green box studio to showcase its products with latest virtual studio technologies. Zero Density’s regional partner KST Moschkau and Mondlicht Studios designed an array of Panasonic’s products as virtual elements with utmost accuracy and realism. Reality’s latest release 2.8 was used to render the virtual and augmented elements in real-time.
Reality is the ultimate real-time node based compositor enabling real-time visual effects pipelines featuring video I/O, keying, compositing and rendering in one single software in real-time. Reality uses Unreal Engine by Epic Games, the most photo-realistic real-time game engine, as the 3D renderer. With the advanced real-time visual effects capabilities, Reality ensures the most photo-realistic composite output possible.
