For years already Aruba is one of the richest islands in the Caribbean. Yet for decades the government has no money to adequately run the island. How come this is possible?
During this lecture, the President of Aruba Quality Government Foundation (Stichting Deugdelijk Bestuur Aruba) will give an oversight of the way Aruba was governed and how this led to our current national debt.
He will give an estimate of the yearly costs of bad governance and the way this should be qualified. Because of the serious impacts, there is no way we can go on in the same manner. That requires a different approach from all stakeholders.
