The Aruba Chamber looks back at a successful Trade Mission from Panama last week. The mission was lead by the Vice-Minister of Commerce, H.E. Mr. Arias, and consisted of a delegation of 11 entrepreneurs and 2 government officials. The group was also accompanied by the Ambassador of Panama in Trinidad & Tobago, H.E. Ms. Gonzalez.

The group arrived on Wednesday August 24, 2011 and was welcomed by Aruba’s Minister of Economic Affairs, H.E. Mrs. Hooyboer-Winklaar during a reception at La Trattoria El Faro Blanco. On Thursday the group was received by the Aruba Chamber for a seminar on doing business with Aruba, before the match making meetings started. More than 40 meetings were set for local entrepreneurs to meet with their Panamanian counterparts. On Friday the delegation attended a breakfast session at Cuisines R Us, hosted by Mr. Jurgen Schönherr and his team. This mission was unquestionably a very successful one thanks to the commitment and interest shown by Aruban and Panamanian businesses to established trade relationships for the future.
